Ravine of the Vall

in the heart of the Ports
Upon entering the ravine of La Vall, we leave behind the cultivated olive fields to give way to rosemary, coscoja and palm, the only palm tree native to Europe. Gradually, the ravine narrows, with imposing rock walls, and the landscape is covered with pine and oak forests.
Racó d'en Marc

Racó d'en Marc

Circular route that, although it seems simple, stands out for its great geological value and delves us fully into the landscape of Els Ports. We will walk between rocks of cylindrical shapes and rounded by the wind and rain that have been sculpting them over time.

We enter the Racó dels Capellans and arrive at Cova d'en Marc and at the end, we will enjoy one of the main courses of the tour: the Forat de la Vella which is nothing more than a hole sculpted naturally in the wall of the rock. You will not stop taking pictures!

Mas de Barró

Mas de Barró

From the recreational area of the Vall we will ascend following the ravine, well defined by vertical rock walls. The trail crosses the Faixes Tancades, a harmonious combination of rock and vegetation. They emphasize the presence of beech and white maple. We arrive at Mas de Barró, where we will have splendid views of the Vall de la Vall delimited by the walls of les Faixes on one side and those of l'Airosa on the other. At our next stop, the name will blow our imagination, la Font del Paradís (the source of paradise). We begin the descent to the starting point by the other slope of the ravine. Upon arrival we will contemplate the rock formation Racó dels Capellans.

l'Airosa

l'Airosa

From the ravine of the Vall, we go up to the top of the ‘Airosa’, which, as the name implies, appears to us in a slender and elegant way. It requires effort and we will have a climbing section to get there. Once above we will contemplate the surroundings around us, with the ravine of the Vall on one side and that of Lloret on the other. We continue riding towards our goal, the Castell de l’Airosa.

It is called Castell de l’Airosa for its particular silhouette that, depending on where you look at it, will look like a medieval castle. And finally, a pleasant descent near the Canal d’en Marc, with some rock formations that will blow our imagination and, will lead us to Racó d’en Marc himself.
